well, I suck.
My knittee just replied to my question, and from the included copied original email I could see in the header that although my anonymous email address does not contain my name, my gmail settings are such that my full name appears along with the email address in the "from" field.
So, secret budddy, if you also noticed this, sorry! And when I post, please turn away!

For future reference, you can fix that in your gmail settings for your "anonymous" account. Of course that won't help if you do what I did. Thinking myself very clever I set my anonymous account to forward to my other one and then accidentally replied to my pal from the wrong account. Doh!
Yeah, I did change the settings. I just have to hope that my pal didn't look too closely at that first email.
I did the same thing as Paula.
I felt like a big old buffoon! There goes the surprise, lol.
I did the same thing too. I guess we could all start a little "oops" group. I feel so stupid.
