Tough Choices

I went on a yarn crawl yesterday (I have 6 LYS stores within 20 minutes of my house - I am soooo blessed!!!!) for the perfect scarf yarn. I narrowed it down to Manos Multi #111 and Noro Silk Garden #205. I also didn't resist some sock yarn, but this is about necks not feet. So, fellow scarf exchangers which yarn should I cast on? I think I know, but it never hurts to get a second opinion. :)

Oh, they're both such pretty yarns... it totally depends on what the pattern is that you would use with them. Any chance you could share that, or does it need to be a secret?

I was thinking cables for the Manos. Because the color variation stays within the red to pink, I think the cables wouldn't get lost. And the Noro would be diamond rib pattern loosely based on the Dibs on Ribs pattern from Interweave's website. I love the color of the Manos, but the Noro pattern would be very unique. Decisions, decisions.

Well, I'm sure the Manos will look great with the cables, but I would love to see your vision of the diamond rib in a scarf, SO... if you don't do that for the exchange, I really hope you'll do it for yourself, and show it off so I can see how it turns out!h
