Must choose a pattern
I've been a bit slow to post over here...sorry. I've contacted my knittee, and I know she likes blues and purples. (Haven't heard from my knitter yet; anybody there?) So one day this week I get to stop by my LYS and pick some yarn. But what pattern to use? Matilda, Rib Scarf, and Trellis & Vine from MagKnits have potential. Wavy from Knitty looks like fun. And Clapotis sure is pretty. Decisions, decisions. Thoughts?

I love all those patterns! I've had my eye on the ribbed short-row scarf, too.
I can see your dilema. What I have done is (almost) chosen the yarn (I have 2 types on order) and narrowed down the patterns to 2. I'm then gonna have swatch session and see what looks best. Don't forget to think about time constraints. I was considering the clapotis but remebered that i'm back at uni in two week so won;t have all day everyday to knit so chose something quicker and more portable.
I wish I was a good enough knitter to knit myself a Clapotis. Someday...
