It's Done!

I just finished blocking the Japanese Feather Scarf. For my first lace project, I'm rather pleased. I hope my pal likes it. I hope to get it in the mail in the next couple of days -- off to the other side of the world.

The colors are beautiful, and I really like how the edges zig-zag.

Dear Dyann,

Since I took my lovely package with all the wonderful goodies you sent to the office, I have to wait until tonight to take pictures and post on the blog.

But I did not want to wait that long to mention here on the blog how gorgeous the scarf is that you made for me. I would never have guessed it is your first lace project and I am glad to say that the day is horrid here (lots of rain), so I am wearing the scarf now in the office, nicely draped over a black sweater. My colleagues are admiring it.

And the mug... how wonderful. If only you were closer, I'd love to purchase some more goodies from your pottery shop. It holds pride of place on my desk and is already being used. My afternoon cup of tea has never tasted so good!!!

On top of it - lovely, squishy, soft and yummy - lace weight yarn in purple! My fingers are itching to knit and I have been busy planning projects (you can tell it is a slow day in the office, LOL). The color is a lovely lilac and it will work so well with my wardrobe.

The soap and the tea rounded out what was a gorgeous surprise, it is almost an early birthday present (Halloween for me...LOL).

So, from the bottom of my heart, thank you, Secret Pal, I couldn't have been more delighted.

Bettina
