Such Difficult Decisions

I found some absolutely gorgeous yarn that I know my recipient will adore but I'm having a hard time finding the right pattern. I have about 6 inches done of a nice cabled pattern but I'm just not sure I really like how it's turning out. Hmmm...should I change yarn or patterns. I think maybe it's time to do some more yarn shopping. At least this gives me an excuse to add to the stash. :0)

I've contacted my recipient and she has emailed back but I have not yet heard from my secret pal.
