This is my first exchange and I'm oh so concerned about picking just the right pattern, just the right yarn. Funny how much thought I've put into this.

Actually, I am finding the same thing!! In the end I just took a deep breath and said 'Right.....this is what we're doing!' Just keep in mind that people are going to be happy to recieve your scarf whatever you choose to do as long as you take in their questionnaire responses. You'll do fine!
