Checking In and cast your vote!!!

I have gotten my yarns....Debbie Bliss Cashmerino AND some Mountain Colors Mountain Goat.
I am very anxious to start on my pal's scarf but I'm having a he*& of a time deciding. Would you like to help me out?? My pal likes soft colors and soft-to-touch yarns. I am thinking the Mountain Colors in the pattern Midwest Moonlight from Scarf Style or the Debbie Bliss in good ole Irish Hiking Scarf. (??) One concern is that maybe the Mountain Colors will be scratchy (???)
I'd love anyone's opinions ;) Thanks a bunch ! Can't wait to get started.

Soo pretty!! I love the Mountain Colors as well. I think it would make a gorgeous Midwest Moonlight. I haven't felt all the mountain colors, but I am working on some socks in the Bearfoot. I actually probably wouldn't have bought the yarn except that the shop owner had some already wound up in cakes, and it was so much softer once out of it's tight skein. I love how the socks are working up and keep cuddling the yarn up against my neck, thinking it would make a great scarf.

I vote the mountain goat for the midwest moonlight. Do you think it is scratcy or just not as soft? I would imagine it to be quite silky as it looks silky in the picture, but only you know since you have it therein front of you. The Debbie Bliss will almost definitely be soft and lush though.

Both beautiful... The colors coordinate well. You could probably use them together if you wanted to go chunky. Otherwise, I'd pick the variegated. I think that yarn is very soft, although I haven't personally knitted with it. Love the colors.

I would also vote variegated - to keep it interesting to knit as well as lovely for the giftee!

I LOVE the Mountain Colors. I have made a modular knit scarf from it and it is so soft and delicate. I did it in deep browns, and gave it to my brother who is suffering from cancer. I told him it is a "comfort scarf."

I am crazy about Mountain Colors yarns. I have another one that I will begin shortly and maybe this one will be for me.

I know it is too late to weigh in on your decision, but just thought I would add my response anyway.
