To my scarf pal:

You're not getting the Handmaiden wool/silk scarf anymore. You're getting a Malabrigo one. The yarn is pricey (or pricier than I routinely spend) but so incredibly soft you won't believe it (unless you've touched Malabrigo before). I'm not sure what pattern to make now. I'm back to the beginning. I'm thinking Irish Hiking Scarf but I think that a simple (boring?) 2x2 or 3x2 rib would suit this yarn perfectly. It's so gorgeous and soft and has some colour variation that I don't want to distract from that with cables or a lot of texture.

I think I'll go fondle the skeins and then wind them into balls while I decide.
