Whoa, Liesel. We are doing a twin project! I am just shy of the 30" mark and the halfway point. I estimate my finished scarf will also be approx. 60" AND as I think I've commented before, my pattern is very similar to yours. I am using a pale pink alpaca yarn and the pattern is an aran style with two open cables on either side and honeycomb in the middle.
Yours looks lovely!
What a great cable pattern!
I vote no fringe ... let the cables speak for themselves. :-)
Gorgeous! I second Dave's comment: no fringe. The cables are lovely on their own.
I agree. No fringe.
This is a lovely pattern. does it have a name? Could you tell me where I could find it?
Beautiful! I vote no fringe, but I think it will be lovely either way.
No fringe! The cables are awesome in their cabley-ness.
I had the same issue. I don't like fringe but I asked my pal and she does. To me, the scarf I knit was fine without fringe. It's a ribbed pattern. Just in case, I cut the fringe and included it in the package with the scarf. If my pal thinks it needs fringe she can add it. I think your cabled scarf looks great without fringe.
Wow, did you steam it before the picture? that beauty is straight as an arrow! No fringe, lovely as is!
