Colors I like: Any! I encourage the future knitter to knit me a solid color, variegated or whatever. I typically wear black wool coats during the winter, a black leather jacket for fall/spring days or a pink leather jacket. :)
Colors I hate: I guess I don't hate any. I trust that the knitter has a good color sense. (I'm pretty easy to please).
Fibers I like/hate: The more I knit, the more I really like alpaca and cashmere. :) But I'm not saying those are necessary. Good ol' fashioned wool would be fine, too. I don't have any allergies that I know of. Quite honestly, any fiber of the knitter's choosing is fine. Probably no foxy boas, though, please. I'm not that flamboyant.
Preferred Scarf length: I like a typical scarf length. I'm a fairly tall person so 50-60 inches would be fine.
Solid or variegated: I'll leave it up to the knitter's discretion.
Cables or lace or texture? - I'll leave it up to the knitter's discretion.
Miscellaneous info: even though I talk about knitters, I don't mind crochets or handwoven's either! I'm not particularly picky. I also don't mind international swaps. This is my second go around in the scarf exchange and I had such fun. I cannot wait to see the happy results of my scarf gift to another.
I enjoy unique construction, but I have fairly conservative (classic) tastes. I don't own too many scarves (the weather here doesn't get that cold), but that wouldn't stop me from wearing a cool looking scarf from my pal. :) I look forward to hearing from you!
